Small- and mid-size nonprofits have the opportunity to learn from senior PR pros thanks to an award-winning workshop series organized by the Public Relations Society of America-Greater Cleveland Chapter and the Center for Community Solutions.
PRSA and Community Solutions are bringing back the six-week workshop series targeting public relations, marketing and fund-raising professionals in nonprofit organizations. During the six-week series, attendees will learn how to develop and implement an effective PR plan tailored for their organization’s needs and budget.
Speakers include senior practitioners at major agencies and organizations – a talent pool otherwise not readily accessible to the target audience. The series, offered once before in 2006, is the brainchild of the PRSA - Cleveland Chapter and The Center for Community Solutions, which view it as a community service opportunity that will help raise the standards for nonprofit PR practitioners in our region. The accounting firm Heiser & Jesko is presenting sponsor for the series, with support from Ogden Post.
Sessions are April 8, 15, 22, 29; May 6 and 13. All sessions will be held at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, where parking is free.
Cost for the full series is $120. A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available thanks to grants from The Cleveland Foundation and the Community Foundation of Lorain County.
For more information about scholarships, contact Kim Merryman at kmerryman@cuyahogalibrary.org.
Each workshop builds on the previous program, so attendance at all six is highly recommended, though not required.
